Sherwood makes major IT investment across the Group – chooses Epicor to deliver an industry leading management and customer service.
Sherwood continues its investment for growth with a major IT overhaul involving Epicor.
Following recent strategic acquisitions and investments in new production equipment, Sherwood is pleased to announce it is partnering with Epicor to deliver a major systems upgrade to its production and management system across the Group.
Once installed, the Epicor system will be used across all Sherwood Group businesses (including Sherwood Stainless & Aluminium, INAL 2020, Neville Precision Engineering and the recently added UB Plastics).
It is a significant and essential investment at what is a challenging time for many in manufacturing, a sector already seeing a slowdown in infrastructure and investment for growth.
The new Epicor system will enable all our businesses and people to access world class technology, information and processes in support of some of the biggest metal product customers in the UK and abroad.
“Epicor is a state-of-the-art IT system that integrates every operational aspect within the business, allowing the team to make better and faster real-time decisions that benefit our customers at all stages of the procurement, design, production and fulfillment pathway” commented Michael Horan, ceo Sherwood Group.
“As well as being a substantial financial investment, a new IT system represents a significant resource investment too – with a huge time commitment required to both scope it, design it and implement it effectively.”
Sherwood expects Epicor to be operational across the Group by summer 2023.
