7th August, 2023

Sherwood Group is pleased to announce that Ed Neville will take on a newly created role of Group Technical Manager across the group.

With a track record in “machining the unmachinable”, this new role will see Ed support all Sherwood Group businesses and the wider team in championing innovation, driving productivity, differentiating our business, enhancing customer value and creating new opportunities for Sherwood and its customers.

As Group Technical Manager, Ed will work closely with each business – Sherwood Stainless and Aluminium, Inal 2020 Ltd, UB Plastics and of course Neville Precision Engineering, where he’ll retain his Managing Director role.

Manufacturing excellence

“My ambition in the role is to establish a benchmark for manufacturing performance” said Ed on the broadening of his role. “And I’m especially looking forward to helping teams across the group create best practice processes that will benefit the group

At a time when the growing Sherwood group of companies is active in a multitude of challenging sectors such as rail, automotive, construction and more, a focus on harmonising approaches and resources across stand-alone sites and teams has never been more important.

Significant commitment

“We’re making a significant commitment to manufacturing excellence that will benefit our customers” said CEO Michael Horan about Ed’s appointment. “Sherwood customers already enjoy unrivalled buying due to our size. Now with substantial technology and machinery investments and utilisation of the right people, we aim to provide the very best in extrusion supply to customers in the UK and abroad”.

Ed reports directly to CEO Michael Horan.
