Sherwood Group receives ISO 14001 accreditation

Sherwood group is delighted to announce it has received ISO 14001 accreditation – an important marker of our commitment to operating a quality environmental management system in our business.

6th June, 2022

ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management systems (EMS) and the most widely used EMS in the world, with over 360,000 ISO 14001 certificates issued globally.

ISO 14001 is the principal management system standard which specifies the requirements for the formulation and maintenance of an EMS.

Sherwood Group’s team, led by Helen Shotton have been working hard to ensure that the business meets the requirements of the ISO 14001 environmental management systems standard – specifically the following areas:

  • Environmental policy;
  • Planning;
  • Implementation and Operation;
  • Checking and Corrective Action.
  • Management review.

“ISO 14001 is not just desirable but has become essential to organisations serious about working into Tier 1 customers,” said Helen.

“It is important that companies like Sherwood take these issues seriously and look to build world class systems to run their businesses in the right way”.
